Viewing God Without Borders

I had a inspirational moment.

What would God be/feel/act/seem like if we were able to remove our preconceptions and prejudices?

What would God be like if we were able to clear out our concepts and just experience the Source cleanly?

This turned the wheels in my head while I pondered.

You see, so much of what we think about God comes from other things.

Whether those things are The Bible, another religious document, or a person telling us about their own experiences.

This is a familiar means of knowing God, as we are taught to absorb knowledge and experiences of God since a young age.

But what if we could chuck the systems of Knowing God and just experience God on our own?

The very essence of this question led me to…meditate a bit.

The impressions that I got about God were this:

A sense of opening.

Or a sense of energy, and feeling connected to that energy.

It feels also personable, almost like a glowing essence that wants to surround us, protect us but not in a defensive way but to protect us and give.

The strangest part was to Give of itself.

That felt good to me.

I get the sense of lightness, but also of enveloping gentleness.

Like this energy is so gentle and loving and complete.

That it just wishes to join with me.

It is interesting to feel the connection to God, as it always feels like it is connected with us, but we are not always connected with it.

I get a sense of lightness myself, and also a sense that everything is ok.

I also get the message that the intellect isn’t needed here.

We just need to connect directly.

To experience directly.

As that is a great means of communication.

I also get a sense of familiarity.

And almost like a misty sense of interaction.

Its interesting to communicate with experiences, with feeling.

It feels good very natural.

Like an old way of communicating that we don’t often use, but it still feels familiar.

This direct experience with God was quite awesome.

Very organic and spontaneous.

While I feel I connect with God often, I hadn’t done it deliberately to feel and explain what it felt like.

I invite you to tell me your stories about your own direct experiences with God, as I am sure they are unique and very interesting!

Love and light.

Our Radio Station of Thoughts

Where do negative thoughts come from?

I often find myself asking that very question.

I’m sure I’m not alone by the surprise of a negative thought that seems to come out of left field.

It can be a bit odd and startling sometimes.

I used to think it was random.

But now I have a different perspective on thoughts.

I like to think of thoughts like this:

Think of ourselves as having a big radio receiver inside of our heads.

And using this receiver, we can tune into different radio stations that can play any number of ‘thoughts’ we can imagine.

As humans, we can tune into any station of thought that we want. Some of the stations we are more accustomed to than others.

Other times it may even seem like we’re channel surfing, going through station by station to sample thoughts, to get an idea of what the station is like.

Using our inner radio receivers, we tune into the vast array of stations available in our universe.

This begs the question, which stations are we tuning into the most?

For instance, stations that make me feel good, or connected and closer to the Source, are a top priority to learn to tune into more often.

But from time to time I seem to get some quirky or otherwise strange stations.

While it may seem over whelming at times, I’ve come to a simple conclusion.

What I’ve learned from these ‘other’ stations is that you needn’t worry too much when you tune into the stations that might not be uplifting; just remember that you are merely tuning in, and you can change your station at anytime.

One easy way to change the station is think of anything that is uplifting. Or ask your mind, or guides or however you gain guidance, to show you a better or more uplifting station.

And merely tune into that station and enjoy the new lovely thoughts!

For me, the effects have been palpable!

So when you think you’re becoming overwhelmed by negative thoughts, you can change your station anytime you like.

Just flip the switch. So to speak. :)

Let me know how this works for you!
