How to Develop Your Telepathic Abilities Part 2

For the last part of this mini series on Developing Your Telepathic Abilities, we will talk about different ways to put your telepathic abilities to use.

So you’ve had a few days to review your own thoughts, and you’ve categorized them. Maybe you’ve even had a few experiences where you said, “Hey this is really a telepathic thought!”

All of that is very, very good.

I feel you should congratulate yourself for taking this journey with me, as an open mind is a precious gift.

So you’re asking now what?

Well, before we go into the next step I want to say two things that are worth repeating:

“The difference between a good psychic and a great psychic is the level of trust they put into the information they receive.”

This was mentioned in Doreen Virtue’s book The Lightworker’s Way.

Validation!

It is very, very important to trust what you receive.

And you trust what you receive by validating what you receive.

What do I mean by validating?

  • First, you get a thought that you think is telepathic.
  • Next, write that down, tell a friend, or loved one what you received.
  • Then, attempt to validate the source.

If you are exchanging thoughts with friends or loved ones, go up to them and ask, “Hey were you thinking of such and such today?”

That is validation.

It is important to validate what you receive so you know if what you received is correct. By doing this you also to reinforce the perceptions that gave you the correct information.

Pings, and Other Fun Games

You can have lots of fun with telepathic skills.

The easiest thing to do is ping someone.

Ping is a low level communication, just to let someone know, “Hey, I am thinking about you!”

It involves thinking about someone intently.

Usually if you ping someone for more than 16 seconds, then you’re REALLY make sure that person gets your message, but usually a few seconds will work just fine.

Just clear your mind, and focus solely on that person, and you’ve pinged them!

Once you get more adept at pinging, you can add messages, objects, words, or feelings that you want to impress upon the person you are sending the message to. Your imagination knows no bounds.

Once you’ve have practice pinging, you can have whole conversations with the person you are trying to communicate with.

For me, telepathic information sounds like a soft, almost hollow voice. Whereas our thinking voice is strong and dominate, telepathic voices are often quieter and easy to overlook if your mind is very noisy.

So when you start to communicate with other people, listen for a hushed voice. That will more than likely be the communication you want to tune into.

You can also communicate with people without using words.

Some people can just receive whole messages, and just ‘know’ someone is thinking about them. Have you ever felt the urge to pick up something from the store for someone? That is an example of telepathic exchange.

Final Words

In all honesty, telepathy is something that is very natural, and easy to do. It just takes a bit of remembering how to do it, and a bit of practice to hone the skill for use.

The first big step is learning to watch and observe the information that comes into your mind.

Next, its about trusting what you receive, and validating what you receive through an independent source.

I encourage journaling and writing down stray thoughts, ideas or things you feel might be psychic information. This will reinforce the skill as you are developing it.

I will continue to write more about clearing and activating these skills and abilities in the future, so stay tuned! Enjoy!

How to Develop Your Telepathic Abilities Part 1

In my previous article, I gave a brief introduction to telepathy and what telepathy is.

In this article we’re going to go into detail about how it works, what to look for, and how to begin using it.

How Telepathy Works

Telepathy works because we are all connected.

Its fairly simple, but let me go into more detail.

We are all connected to what I like to call the Universal Mind.

It is similar to the Jungian concept of Collective Subconscious, but I would describe it as a shared thought space. This is where we can tune into information, just like we can tune into a radio station.

In this shared thought space that we can send and receive information as well.

This is also similar to the concept of the Internet.

Imagine you are sitting at your computer, and you send a message to your friend through IM.

That message is sent in the form of information to your friend’s computer, and he receives it and responds back.

It is much the same in the Universal Mind.

The actual mechanics of the Universal Mind deserve an article of their own, but for now, just think of a big mind that we have access to.

Becoming Aware

The biggest step to activating your natural telepathic abilities is awareness.

By simply becoming aware of your thoughts, and the energy that passes into your experience, you move closer to utilitizing these abilities.

So how do you become aware?

First, notice the chatter in your head.

This chatter will be in the form of voices, thoughts, or energy that is passing to and from your mind at all times.

Consider this: Where does all the chatter come from?

While some people could claim that it is all their imagination, I am certain that the total of all the information that passes through their mind is not just their imagination at work.

There is just too much information to be imagining!

Take a moment and notice the thoughts moving through your head.

Who are the people you are thinking of?

What conversations are you having with yourself, or others?

Who are the people thinking of you right now?

While some of the chatter comes from your imagination, there is just so much information moving through you. Imagine what you can do with that information once you become more fully aware :)

Taking the Next Step

I recommend over the next few days consciously watching all the chatter that comes into your head.

Then categorize it into groups:

1. My Own Voice - The voice you use to speak with your own mind. Notice its distinct tone. Also known as sub vocalization.

2. Imagination - Imagination is creating an image using your will. For instance, think of the house you grew up in. That is an example of using your imagination.

3. Possible Conversations With Other People - These are conversations, or chatter, that pop into your head with other people, that might be from other sources or your imagination, but you’re not sure.

4. Definite Conversations With Other People - These are exchanges that are so lively, so effortless that it doesn’t seem to take an act of will to create them. They just flow. You also don’t ‘force’ answers or conversations to happen in a certain way.

5. Other Peoples’ Stray Thoughts - These are one way conversations, or bursts of information, coming from other people. These are usually rhetorical conversations.

So, for the next couple of days, become aware of all the different types of chatter that comes into your head. Label them as you see fit, and begin to notice the difference between imagination, and conversations that seem genuine.

In my next article, I will write about our next step to developing our telepathic abilities.

Enjoy!
