And he sees God sitting at the table and says, “Hey God, mind if I have a seat?”
God says sure, and the man sits down.
So he and God start talking, and the man goes on and on about how crappy his life is.
He says, “You know God, things are just terrible!”
“My life is falling apart, my finances are in the dumps, my love life sucks, I don’t know heads from tails anymore!”
“I have been trying so hard to make things work, trying and trying to get things to go my way and nothing will!”
“I am just about at my wits end, my parents don’t understand me, my friends abandoned me, and I don’t know who I am anymore.”
“I can’t figure out my life’s purpose, I don’t know what is true anymore, I don’t even know how to find the truth.”
“I just don’t know anymore, I’m about to give up and throw the towel in. Its better than living this half-ass crap of a life.”"
And God looks at this man, gently smiles, and says,
“Now, we can begin.”
Ever feel like that sometimes?
Maybe where you need to be is exactly where you are.
Even if life seems crazy and in the dumps and its going all wrong for you, maybe that’s where you need to start.
Its when you hit rock bottom that you can, with a little willingness, let God into your life.
